"Lately I have been exploring the idea of the inner child, the original free spirit
which through life for many of us has gradually been tamed, controlled, structured,
organized and molded, yet still has a great need to be set free."

Roy Kelly, aged 7

"Now i'm a mum, I feel the need
to incorporate
all that,
that entails into my art.

Having a child is helping my work
stay fresh and spontaneous,
I love the natural curiosity
and fearlessness of children
when they create art."

Since having my son, I have found myself in a world
of time travel, space rockets, super heros, aliens, robots and more. His imagination astounds me! How children can if they have support or not take themselves off to a whole other universe and I have often gone along for the ride.He has built many a space ship gone on hundreds of voyages and missions met all kinds of aliens then created hundreds of drawings, models etc.
These pictures capture some of those moments.

All of the images in the picture above were created by my son, I scanned them all one by one.

I then created this scene combined with his portrait.I  wanted to really bring his imagination to life!
